Pink Tribute was established in 2003
As a way to heighten awareness as a way to heighten awareness and funding of breast cancer in Denmark. While living in Denmark, two expats – Valerie G. Brandt and Elizabeth Asbury – saw their families being touched by breast cancer and resolved to do something to help combat the disease.
Together with a Dane – Birgitte Krejsager – they organized the first Pink Tribute in 2003. It was a Luncheon & Fashion Show held at Rydhave, the residence of the American Ambassador, kindly hosted by Wilma Bernstein, the wife of Ambassador Stuart Bernstein.
The baton has long since been passed onto new committee members, and Michaela, Tone, Hilde and Becca are proud to continue this tradition. Since 2003, Pink Tribute has held luncheon and evening events at the private residences of Ambassadors for the United States, Britian, Canada, France, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland, to continue the ongoing support of breast cancer related causes. We hope to count on our past, current and future loyal supporters. Do contact us with any questions.
